Updated: May 5, 2021

Hello, The list of international travel destinations that you can safely travel to is ever-changing, so all outbound passengers should check with the U.S. Embassy and your preferred airline before finalizing travel plans. Be sure to contact us for some inspirational tours and itineraries you can book now, risk-free.

This week’s highlighted destinations:

Latin America:

  • Peru: Open to Americans and Canadians with restrictions. A negative PCR or Antigen test is required, taken within 72 hours prior to travel. Upon arrival, travelers must take a second PCR or Antigen test and receive a negative result to avoid quarantine. Tests can be taken at Lima airport upon arrival, or your hotel, with results emailed in 1-2 hours.

  • Panama: Open to Canadians and Americans with restrictions. Travelers arriving from South America into Panama City must now quarantine in a designated hotel for 5 days. Following the 5-day quarantine, the traveler must test negative again to carry on with their travels.

Europe:

  • Iceland: Open to all vaccinated travelers only. Travelers require a vaccination certificate and an antibody certificate. If vaccinated parents (or parents that previously had COVID-19) are with children who are not vaccinated, the children do not have to quarantine, however, they will have to take a test on arrival. All arriving passengers must pre-register and must undergo one COVID-19 screening. While waiting for screening results, instructions for quarantine must be followed (results typically arrive within the day).

  • Croatia: Open to all vaccinated travelers only. Travelers require a vaccination certificate or a certificate confirming recovery from COVID-19 within 11-180 days prior to arrival. All travelers also require a rapid antigen test approved by the EMA or a PCR test was taken within 48 hours of arrival at the Croatian border. Those with an antigen test result staying for more than 10 days will need to repeat the test once during their stay. Children under the age of seven can cross the border without restrictions.

Asia:

  • Sri Lanka: Open to Canadians & Americans. Vaccinated travelers require proof of vaccination and a PCR test taken within 96 hours of boarding flight. Must pre-purchase the mandatory COVID-19 insurance before applying for the e-visa. Upon arrival in Sri Lanka, travelers must take a PCR test at check-in at their first hotel. Traveler remains at the hotel for 24-48 hours while awaiting PCR test result. Once the negative result has been received, you can travel freely. Also open to non-vaccinated travelers with much stricter requirements/restrictions.

Middle East:

  • Jordan: Open to Americans and Canadians with restrictions. A negative PCR is required, taken within 72 hours prior to travel. On arrival, passengers must undergo a COVID-19 PCR test. Passengers must also have health insurance covering COVID-19 treatment for the entire period of their trip. Curfew days and hours extended till May 15th.

  • Oman: Borders are now closed to foreign travelers until further notice.

Important Note for Returning U.S. and Canadian Passengers:

  • U.S.: All American passengers over the age of 2 years must provide one of the following before boarding their flight back into the U.S.

    • A negative COVID-19 test result (PCR or Antigen) taken within 3-days prior to boarding.
